The Sick GRTB18S-P2417 Photoelectric Sensor (Part No. 1076101)is a compact, high-precision photoelectric proximity sensor with background suppression, designed for accurate object detection regardless of color or reflectivity. Featuring a sensing range of 20 mm to 150 mm (up to 300 mm max), it uses a visible red PinPoint LED (650 nm) with a focused 7 mm light spot at 100 mm, ensuring reliable detection and easy alignment.

Its fast <500 µs response time and 1,000 Hz switching frequency enable use in dynamic automation systems. The sensor operates on a 10–30 VDC supply and provides a PNP switching output, configurable for light/dark switching via a 270° potentiometer. It supports up to 100 mA output current, with <3 V signal drop.

Housed in a durable M18 × 1 cylindrical body (18 × 18 × 38.1 mm), the GRTB18S-P2417 features ABS housing, PMMA optics, and a 4-pin M12 connector. With IP67 protection and a –25 °C to +55 °C operating range, it’s ideal for tough industrial conditions.
