P&F NBN5-F7-E2/800731 Inductive Sensor

The (Pepperl + Fuchs) P&F NBN5-F7-E2/800731 Inductive Sensor (NBN5F7E2), with part number 800731, is a compact inductive proximity sensor designed for non-flush mounting with a rated sensing distance of 5 mm and an assured range up to 4.05 mm. It operates using a PNP normally open (NO) switching function and features a DC 3-wire output configuration.

Capable of handling operating voltages from 10 to 30 V DC, it supports switching frequencies up to 500 Hz, suitable for moderate-speed applications. The sensor includes pulsing short-circuit protection and reverse polarity protection to enhance reliability in automated systems.

With a typical hysteresis of 5%, it ensures stable switching behavior, while the voltage drop remains low at ≤ 3 V. It can manage up to 100 mA of switching current, and operates with a no-load supply current below 20 mA.

A yellow LED indicator clearly displays the switching status. The unit is housed in a PBT enclosure, including the sensing face, offering good resistance to chemicals and mechanical wear.

With IP67 protection, it withstands dust and temporary water immersion. It functions reliably in ambient temperatures ranging from -25 to +70 °C, making it ideal for general industrial use. The sensor is wired through a 2-meter PVC cable with 0.14 mm² conductors, and its compact housing (17 × 17 × 28 mm) supports installations in space-limited environments.
