The Sick GTB6-P1212 Photoelectric Sensor, belonging to the GTB6 series (GTB6P1212, GTB6P1211, 1052444), is a compact photoelectric proximity sensor designed with background suppression, enabling precise object detection while ignoring reflective surfaces in the background. It offers a sensing range of 35 mm to 140 mm, with a maximum range up to 250 mm, making it suitable for short-to-medium range applications.

Equipped with a visible red PinPoint LED light source (650 nm), it provides a sharp, small light spot—Ø 6 mm at 100 mm—for accurate alignment and object detection. A 5-turn mechanical spindle enables fine adjustment of the sensing distance. The unit supports both light and dark switching modes, selectable via an integrated switch, offering application flexibility.

Its fast response time (<625 µs) and high switching frequency (1,000 Hz) allow for reliable operation in high-speed automation systems. Built with an IP67-rated ABS/PC housing and PMMA front screen, it resists dust and water ingress, ensuring reliable performance in challenging environments.

A 2-meter, 3-wire cable with 0.14 mm² conductor size allows easy integration. Additionally, it comes with a stainless steel mounting bracket (BEF-W100-A) for secure installation.
