The Panasonic PM-F45-P Photoelectric Sensor, identified by part number PMF45P, is a compact, high-precision photoelectric sensor designed for ultra-fine object detection in space-constrained automation systems.

With a fixed sensing range of 6 mm, it reliably detects opaque objects as small as 0.8 × 1.2 mm. This makes it ideal for precise positioning and presence detection in electronics or semiconductor assembly. The sensor includes dual PNP open-collector outputs for both Light-ON and Dark-ON operation. It also features built-in short-circuit protection for added reliability.

It operates over a wide voltage range of 5 to 24 V DC. Response times are exceptionally fast—20 μs when light is received and 80 μs when interrupted. It supports switching frequencies up to 3 kHz, making it suitable for high-speed detection tasks.

The orange LED indicator signals beam reception status, while its PBT enclosure and polycarbonate display ensure durability. It offers IP64 protection, and resists both vibration (up to 196 m/s²) and shock (15,000 m/s²), ensuring stable operation in demanding environments.

The PM-F45-P includes a 1-meter PVC cable, and supports wiring extensions up to 100 meters, providing flexibility in system design.
