The Panasonic GX-F12A Inductive Proximity Sensor (UGXF12A, GXF12A) is a high-durability inductive proximity sensor ideal for precision metal detection in harsh industrial environments. With a maximum sensing distance of 4.0 mm and a stable sensing range up to 3.3 mm, it ensures accurate performance on standard 20 × 20 × 1 mm iron targets.

This sensor features an NPN open-collector output (normally open), supporting up to 100 mA sink current, and operates on 12–24 V DC with low 15 mA current draw. A bright orange LED indicates detection status for real-time diagnostics.

Built to withstand extreme conditions, the GX-F12A is protected by IP68 and IP68g ratings, resistant to water, oils, temperature cycling, shock (1,000 G), and vibration (20 G). It includes a 1 m oil- and heat-resistant cable and allows cable extension up to 100 m. CE compliant with EMC and RoHS, it excels in metalworking, automation, and machine tool applications.
