    Panasonic EX-L221-P Laser Sensor

    The Panasonic EX-L221-P Laser Sensor ((UEXL221P, EXL221P) is a compact laser diffuse reflective sensor designed for high-precision presence detection over a 45–300 mm range. It emits a Class 1 red semiconductor laser with a typical spot size of ≤1 mm, allowing it to detect even fine targets such as 0.01 mm gold wire.

    It delivers high repeatability (typ. 0.02 mm) and fast response (≤0.5 ms), making it suitable for applications requiring precise and quick detection. The output is PNP open-collector, handling up to 50 mA, with Light-ON/Dark-ON selectable logic. Built-in short-circuit and reverse polarity protection ensures electrical robustness.

    The unit features an IP67-rated enclosure, built from PBT with glass/acrylic optics, and is resistant to vibration and shock. It supports operation in ambient temperatures from -10 to +55°C and in light conditions up to 3,000 lx. A continuously variable sensitivity adjuster and interference prevention function support stable performance even in close-mounted configurations.
