Panasonic EX-13A Photoelectric Sensor

The Panasonic EX-13A Photoelectric Sensor, part number UEX13A, complies with multiple directives, including EMC Directive EN 60947-5-2, RoHS Directive, and ISO 13849-1 as of December 2021 production. It features a sensing range of 500 mm (19.685 in) and detects objects as small as ø2 mm (0.079 in) at that distance. The sensor operates on 12 to 24 V DC with a ripple P-P of 10% or less.

The Panasonic EX-13A Photoelectric Sensor uses an NPN open-collector transistor output. It has a maximum sink current of 50 mA and an applied voltage of 30 V DC or less. The residual voltage is 2 V or less at 50 mA sink current. It is 1 V or less at 16 mA sink current. It includes short-circuit protection and meets Utilization Category DC-12 or DC-13 standards. The sensor has a fast response time of 0.5 ms or less. It features an orange LED for operation indication and a green LED for stability indication in stable light or dark conditions. It suits industrial environments with a pollution degree of 3 and meets an IP67 (IEC) protection rating.

The EX-13A withstands ambient temperatures from -25 to +55 ℃ (-13 to +131 ℉) without suffering from dew condensation or icing. It also tolerates storage conditions between -30 and +70 ℃ (-22 to +158 ℉), maintaining reliability across a wide thermal range.It can handle ambient humidity levels of 35 to 85% RH.
