Leuze PRK3C.A3/2N-M8 Photoelectric Sensor

The Leuze PRK3C.A3/2N-M8 Photoelectric Sensor (Part No.: 50136261) from the 3C Series is a compact retro-reflective sensor that operates on the reflection principle. It achieves a guaranteed sensing range of 0.02 to 2.8 m, and extends up to 5 m when paired with a TK(S) 100x100 reflector. A 635 nm red LED serves as the light source and falls within the Exempt Group (EN 62471) for eye safety.

Equipped with NPN transistor outputs, it supports both light and dark switching. It delivers fast performance with a 0.33 ms response time and a 1,500 Hz switching frequency. The sensor operates on a 10–30 V DC supply, with up to 15 mA current draw and 15% residual ripple tolerance.

The compact housing (11.4 × 34.2 × 18.3 mm) is built from PC-ABS plastic, with a PMMA lens cover, and is rated IP67 and IP69K, ensuring high protection in industrial environments. A Teach button simplifies sensitivity adjustment, and the M8, 4-pin metal connector allows easy, durable integration. It meets IEC 60947-5-2 and carries c UL US certification.
