Leuze ISS244PP.1-44-20E-S12 Inductive Switch

The Leuze ISS244PP.1-44-20E-S12 Inductive Switch (ISS244PP14420ES12) part number 50133520, is from the 244 series, is a cubic inductive proximity sensor from the 244 series, designed for rugged and reliable object detection. With a nominal sensing range of 20 mm and an assured range up to 16.2 mm, this sensor suits extended detection needs. It uses a PNP transistor output with both NO and NC antivalent switching for control flexibility. It supports switching currents up to 200 mA and operates at 100 Hz, ensuring fast response in dynamic settings.

Built-in protective circuits guard against short circuits, polarity reversal, and overcurrent, ensuring long-term operational safety. A residual voltage drop ≤ 2 V and minimal residual current (≤ 0.01 mA) help maintain signal integrity. The sensor operates on a 10–30 V DC supply with a 30 mA max current draw, and features a temperature drift and repeatability of max 10% of Sr, ensuring reliable accuracy across the –25°C to +85°C temperature range.

Housed in robust PA66 plastic, the unit actively resists dust, water immersion, and high-pressure cleaning thanks to its IP68/IP69K rating. The M12 male connector (4-pin, A-coded) ensures a secure and standardized wiring interface. Through-hole mounting simplifies setup, while four integrated LEDs actively guide alignment and indicate operating status.. The standard sensing target is a 60 × 60 mm² Fe360 plate, and the sensor’s compact 40 × 40 × 67 mm form factor makes it well-suited for embedded applications.
