Datasensing FAI4/BN-1E Photoelectric Sensor

The Datasensing FAI4/BN-1E Photoelectric Sensor is a compact and reliable diffuse reflection photoelectric sensor designed for accurate short-range object detection in industrial automation, packaging, assembly, and conveyor applications. Operating on the diffuse reflection principle, the FAI4/BN-1E uses an 880 nm infrared LED emitter to ensure stable and dependable sensing performance. It is optimized for detecting a Kodak 90% white target (200 x 200 mm) and offers excellent repeatability with 5% repeat accuracy. 

The sensor features NPN NO+NC outputs, providing flexible integration into a wide range of industrial control systems. With a 250 Hz switching frequency and 2 ms response time, it delivers reliable performance in standard automation processes. Advanced protection features, including short-circuit auto-reset protection, overvoltage protection, reverse polarity protection, and impulsive voltage protection, ensure long-term operational reliability.

Constructed with a durable nickel-plated brass housing and PC active head, the sensor is built to withstand harsh industrial environments. Its IP67 protection rating provides excellent resistance to dust and water ingress. Equipped with an M12 connector, CE and cULus approvals, and manufactured in Italy, the FAI4/BN-1E offers dependable performance and durability.
