The Sick IME08-02BPSZW2S Proximity Sensor, designated as part number 1040872 (IME0802BPSZW2S), is a compact M8 inductive proximity sensor built for precise and fast object detection in confined industrial spaces. With a flush-mounted cylindrical housing and a sensing range of 2 mm, it is ideal for close-range applications requiring high switching accuracy. The safe sensing range is 1.62 mm, ensuring reliable detection under varying conditions.

Operating on a 10–30 VDC supply, the sensor delivers a switching frequency of 4,000 Hz, supporting high-speed operations. It features a PNP normally open output and connects via a 2-meter PVC cable with a 3-wire configuration for easy integration.

Built with a nickel-plated brass housing and PA66 plastic sensing face, the sensor ensures rugged durability, while its IP67 enclosure rating provides protection against dust and water. The design includes short-circuit, reverse polarity, and power-up pulse protection, safeguarding the sensor and connected equipment.
