The Omron EE-SX671 Photoelectric Sensor is a compact, grooved (L-shaped) through-beam sensor designed for precise object detection in confined spaces. Featuring a 5 mm slot width, it accurately detects opaque objects as small as 2 × 0.8 mm, making it ideal for miniature part sensing. Its infrared LED light source (940 nm) enables stable detection, while the Dark-ON/Light-ON modes are easily selectable based on application needs. With a fast response frequency of 1 kHz (average 3 kHz), it supports high-speed operations.

The sensor operates on a 5 to 24 VDC supply and has an NPN open collector output capable of handling up to 100 mA load current. Built with PBT and PC materials, the housing is durable, and it offers IP50 protection. It withstands vibration (20–2000 Hz, 100 m/s²) and shock (500 m/s²), ensuring long-term reliability. Its compact connector-type design supports direct soldering, making integration easy in tight industrial setups.
