As part of the QS18 series, it operates as an opposed-mode emitter, working in conjunction with a receiver for reliable object detection. The infrared LED sensing beam ensures accurate and long-range sensing capabilities.

This sensor is housed in a rectangular ABS enclosure with an M18 mount, making it durable and easy to install in various industrial settings. It features an IP67 and NEMA 4X rating, providing excellent protection against dust, water, and harsh environments. With a maximum sensing distance of 20,000 mm, the QS186E is ideal for long-range applications.

Operating on a 10-30V DC power supply, the sensor includes a 2-meter cable connection for flexible installation. It features LED indicators for status feedback and has a power-up delay of 100 ms to ensure stable operation. The repeatability of 100 µs enhances detection accuracy.

Designed to withstand temperatures ranging from -20°C to 70°C, the sensor also supports a maximum relative humidity of 95% at 50°C. Its acrylic lens material enhances durability, and the 18mm barrel diameter allows for easy mounting.
