Panasonic PM2-LF10 Photoelectric Sensor

The Panasonic PM2-LF10 Photoelectric Sensor is a compact and precise reflective photoelectric sensor designed for close-range detection. It features a sensing range of 2.5 to 8 mm, with a convergent point at 5 mm, optimized for white non-glossy paper. Due to product variation, the range may extend up to 12.5 mm. It can detect very small objects, including a ø0.05 mm copper wire, making it ideal for fine detection tasks.

With a repeatability of 0.08 mm or less and hysteresis under 20%, the sensor delivers stable, repeatable performance. It operates on 5 to 24 V DC, with low current consumption (average: 25 mA), and features a fast response time of 0.8 ms for high-speed applications.

The NPN open-collector output supports 100 mA sink current and includes over-current protection. Built to withstand harsh conditions, it resists vibration (up to 1.5 mm at 55 Hz) and shock (50 G). The infrared LED (880 nm) ensures reliable detection, even in varying lighting conditions.

Housed in polycarbonate, the PM2-LF10 is suitable for industrial use and supports cable extensions up to 2 m, with a capacitor required for longer runs.
