The Telemecanique XUVE04M3KSNM8 Label Sensor, part of the XUV series, is a compact and high-precision solution designed for demanding packaging and labelling applications. It employs a thru-beam detection system with a 3 mm sensing width and 40 mm depth. This setup enables the sensor to detect very small labels with exceptional accuracy.

It features an infrared emission source that ensures consistent performance across various materials. With a high switching frequency of up to 10 kHz, the sensor supports rapid detection. It maintains reliable operation at label speeds up to 200 m/min, making it ideal for high-speed labelling lines.

Engineered for precise detection, it achieves ±0.05 mm accuracy at 150 m/min and can detect labels as short as 2 mm, with a minimum spacing of 2 mm between labels. The setting is managed via a numeric potentiometer, making calibration straightforward. Moreover, the unit supports both PNP and NPN outputs, enhancing compatibility across diverse automation platforms. In addition, its NO/NC programmable functionality allows users to tailor the sensor's switching behaviour to specific application needs. As a result, the sensor offers flexible integration with various control systems, streamlining setup and reducing the need for additional components.

The housing features robust polyamide (PA 12) construction, and the lens utilizes durable polycarbonate (PC), ensuring strength and longevity in demanding environments.. It includes reverse polarity, short-circuit, and overload protection, ensuring long-term reliability in industrial environments. A 4-pin M8 male connector ensures easy electrical integration.
