Panasonic PM-L45 Photoelectric Sensor

The Panasonic PM-L45 Photoelectric Sensor, designated by Product Number PM-L45 and Part Number PML45, conforms to CE Marking Directives including EMC and RoHS. The PM-L45 sensor offers a fixed sensing range of 6 mm (0.236 in). It can detect opaque objects as small as 0.8 × 1.2 mm (0.031 × 0.047 in). The sensor provides hysteresis of 0.05 mm (0.002 in) or less. Additionally, it offers repeatability of 0.01 mm (0.0004 in) or less.

The Panasonic PM-L45 Photoelectric Sensor delivers reliable performance with an operating voltage of 5 to 24 V DC and a ±10% ripple tolerance, while drawing 15 mA or less. It utilizes an NPN open-collector transistor output, capable of sinking up to 50 mA with a maximum applied voltage of 30 V DC. The sensor supports both Light-ON and Dark-ON operation modes, and integrates short-circuit protection for enhanced safety.

Built for demanding environments, the PM-L45 operates efficiently across temperatures from -25 to +55 ℃ (-13 to +131 ℉) and withstands storage conditions ranging from -30 to +80 ℃ (-22 to +176 ℉). Its rugged design ensures consistent performance in challenging industrial settings, making it a dependable choice for compact automation systems.

It boasts IP64 protection against ingress of dust and moisture, making it suitable for diverse industrial settings. The sensor's construction includes PBT enclosure and polycarbonate display section, contributing to its durability and reliability in demanding applications.
