The Panasonic NA2-N16 Slim Body Area Sensor, with part number UNA2N16, NA2N16 complies with the CE Marking Directive for EMC and RoHS standards offers reliable object detection with a sensing height of 300 mm and a sensing range up to 5 meters. It features a beam pitch of 20 mm, capable of detecting opaque objects ≥30 mm in diameter through complete beam interruption.

It operates on a 12 to 24 V DC supply with a power consumption of only 0.9 W (max.) for both emitter and receiver. The output type is NPN open-collector, supporting a maximum sink current of 100 mA, and includes short-circuit protection.

For status indication, the receiver features a red LED for interrupted beams and a green LED for stable reception. The emitter includes dual green LEDs for emission status and job indicator functionality via a red LED.

The sensor also includes interference prevention and test input functions, improving performance when multiple sensors are deployed in proximity. It meets EMC and RoHS Directives and features IP40 protection, suitable for industrial environments.

Constructed from heat-resistant ABS with polyester lens covers, it withstands vibrations (10–150 Hz) and shocks up to 500 m/s² (50 G). It operates within a -10 to +55 °C temperature range, and the cable can be extended up to 25 meters, enhancing installation flexibility.
