Jars KS-C2W Contrast Sensor

The Jars KS-C2W Contrast Sensor, part of the KS-C2 series, features a compact 26×63×60 mm body with a coaxial reflex sensing method. It uses a multi-color light source—red, green, blue, and white—with a light spot size of Φ0.5 to Φ1.5 mm for precise detection.

It detects opaque objects at a distance of 10 mm ±2 mm, and the sensitivity is adjustable for varying conditions. The sensor is powered by a 10–30 VDC ±10% supply and supports a response frequency of 0.1–1 ms, making it suitable for high-speed applications. The light source is an infrared LED (660 nm). Protection features include reverse polarity, surge suppression, and short-circuit protection.

The sensor ensures reliability with 50 MΩ insulation resistance and 1000 VAC dielectric strength. It maintains detection performance within ±10–15% variation across a wide temperature range of -30°C to 65°C. Rated at IP67, the sensor is dust-tight and water-resistant. The sensor uses a durable aluminium die-cast (ABS) housing and equips a PMMA sensing surface for enhanced longevity. Ideal for environments with high humidity (35% to 95%), it delivers robust, stable sensing across diverse industrial conditions.
