    Panasonic EX-31B Photoelectric Sensor

    The Panasonic EX-31B Photoelectric Sensor, compliant with the EMC Directive and RoHS Directive, provides reliable sensing capabilities. With a sensing range of 500 mm (19.685 in), it can detect opaque objects with a diameter of 2 mm (0.079 in) or more. Offering precise detection, it maintains repeatability of 0.05 mm (0.002 in) or less perpendicular to the sensing axis.

    Powered by a supply voltage of 12 to 24 V DC, both the emitter and receiver have a current consumption of 10 mA or less. Output is managed by an NPN open-collector transistor, supporting a maximum sink current of 50 mA. It operates with a dark-ON output operation and features short-circuit protection.

    The Panasonic EX-31B Photoelectric Sensor, designed for industrial environments, boasts an IP67 protection rating and operates within a temperature range of -25 to +55 degrees Celsius (-13 to +131 degrees Fahrenheit). It can withstand ambient humidity levels of 35 to 85% RH and incandescent light up to 3,000 lx. Constructed with die-cast zinc (nickel plated) for the enclosure, polycarbonate for the lens, and polycarbonate for the enclosure cover, the sensor ensures durability.
