Panasonic CX-481-P Photoelectric Sensor

The Panasonic CX-481-P Photoelectric Sensor (CX481P,UCX481P), designed for use with the RF-230 reflector, is a retroreflective sensor offering a sensing range from 50 mm to 500 mm (1.969 to 19.685 in), optimized for detection using the RF-230 reflector. It is designed for transparent, translucent, or opaque objects with a minimum size of Ø50 mm (Ø1.969 in). The sensor provides repeatability of 0.5 mm (0.020 in) or less, ensuring precise detection.

Powered by a 12 to 24 V DC supply, it consumes 10 mA or less. The output is a PNP open-collector transistor, capable of handling up to 100 mA sink current and has short-circuit protection. It features a switchable output operation (Light-ON or Dark-ON), with a response time of 1 ms or less. The operation and stability indicators are provided by orange and green LEDs, respectively.

This sensor has IP67 protection against dust and water and can operate in ambient temperatures from -25°C to +55°C with a humidity range of 35% to 85% RH. Additionally, it offers vibration resistance and shock resistance, making it ideal for industrial environments. The infrared LED emitting element operates at a peak wavelength of 870 nm (0.034 mil), ensuring effective object detection.
