Sick GRL18SG-P1137 Photoelectric Sensor

The Sick GRL18SG-P1137 is a high-performance photoelectric retro-reflective sensor designed for precise detection applications, including transparent objects. Featuring a dual-lens system and a compact cylindrical housing (M18 x 1 thread), this sensor delivers exceptional reliability in challenging environments. Its sensing range spans from 0.06 m to 6 m, extendable up to 7.2 m with optimal reflector placement. The PinPoint LED light source emits visible red light at a wavelength of 650 nm, ensuring clear and accurate object detection. A 270° adjustable potentiometer allows easy sensitivity tuning, while LED indicators provide clear operational status and beam reception feedback.

Built with rugged ABS plastic housing and PMMA optics, the GRL18SG-P1137 offers IP67 enclosure protection, making it ideal for industrial environments. It operates on a 10–30 V DC supply voltage with light/dark switching capability, a fast response time of under 500 µs, and a switching frequency of up to 1,000 Hz. With integrated features like a polarization filter, PNP switching output, and compatibility with EMC standards (EN 60947-5-2), this sensor excels in precision, durability, and versatility. Perfect for applications like packaging, material handling, and object detection in transparent settings, it delivers dependable performance in a wide temperature range of -25°C to +55°C.
