Leuze HT3C/4P-M8 Diffuse Sensor

The Leuze HT3C/4P-M8 Diffuse sensor with background suppression from the 3C series is a diffuse reflection sensor with background suppression, ideal for high-precision object detection. With a wavelength of 633 nm, the sensor uses a red LED light source to ensure clear performance across various surfaces, including black, white, and gray objects.

The sensor’s operating range varies depending on the surface color: from 0.005 to 0.45 m for white (90%), 0.01 to 0.34 m for grey (18%), and 0.015 to 0.22 m for black (6%). The guaranteed operating range is up to 450 mm, with a typical range of 0.005 to 0.45 m. It features focused beam optics for precise detection at a focal distance of 200 mm.

Designed for versatile applications, the sensor operates within a voltage range of 10 to 30 V DC, with a switching frequency of 1,000 Hz and response time of just 0.5 ms, ensuring fast detection. Its PNP transistor switching element supports dark switching for optimal performance.

With a 4-pin M8 male connector and IP67/IP69K protection, it is waterproof and suitable for harsh industrial environments. The plastic housing (PC-ABS) is ECOLAB compatible, and the LED display helps easily monitor operation. The sensor supports range adjustment via a multiturn potentiometer.

The HT3C/4P-M8 is suitable for temperatures from -40 to 60 °C during operation and -40 to 70 °C during storage. It is also certified c UL US and complies with IEC 60947-5-2 standards, making it highly reliable for various industrial applications.
