The Sick GTB6-P4231 Photoelectric Sensor (Part No. 1079712) is a compact and versatile photoelectric proximity sensor featuring background suppression for reliable detection of objects regardless of color or surface texture. It offers a sensing range of 50 mm to 220 mm (max up to 400 mm), utilizing a PinPoint LED that emits visible red light (625 nm) with a sharp 6 mm light spot at 100 mm, ensuring precise target acquisition.

With a fast response time under 1.25 ms and a switching frequency of 500 Hz, it supports dynamic, high-speed applications. The sensor operates on a 10–30 VDC supply and provides a PNP switching output, selectable between Light ON/Dark ON via a mechanical 5-turn adjustment spindle. It handles output currents up to 100 mA, with robust signal reliability.

Housed in a durable ABS/PC rectangular body (12 × 31.5 × 21 mm), with a PMMA front screen, the GTB6-P4231 offers IP67 protection and reliable operation in temperatures from –25 °C to +55 °C.
