The Sick GTB10-P4212 Photoelectric Sensor is part of the GTB10 series, functioning as a photoelectric proximity sensor with background suppression. It features a rectangular housing design for light emission and dimensions of 20 mm x 50 mm x 39 mm. The sensor offers a maximum sensing range from 20 mm to 950 mm, utilizing visible red light emitted from a PinPoint LED with a Ø 8 mm light spot size at a distance of 700 mm. Users can adjust the sensor via a potentiometer with 5 turns, while it operates within a supply voltage range of 10 V DC to 30 V DC with a ripple of less than 5 Vpp.

SICK GTB10-P4212 Photoelectronic sensor switching output is PNP, and it supports light/dark switching modes, selectable via a mode selector. The sensor has a response time of ≤ 500 µs and a switching frequency of 1,000 Hz. It connects via a male connector M12 with 4 pins and offers circuit protection according to various standards.

Weighing 35 g, the sensor is constructed from plastic, ABS/PMMA material, and possesses an enclosure rating of IP67. The supplied mounting bracket is BEF-G10DC01. It complies with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standard EN 60947-5-2 and operates within an ambient temperature range of -30 °C to +60 °C, with storage temperature ranging from -40 °C to +70 °C. Malaysia manufactures the sensor.
