Panasonic CX-421-P Photoelectric Sensor

The Panasonic CX-421-P Photoelectric Sensor is a diffuse reflective photoelectric sensor designed for reliable object detection. It operates within a sensing range of 300 mm (11.811 in), optimized for white non-glossy paper (200 × 200 mm) as a reference object. It can detect opaque, translucent, or transparent objects, offering broad applicability. The sensor features repeatability of 1 mm or less and hysteresis of 15% or less of the sensing distance.

It functions on a supply voltage of 12 to 24 V DC with 13 mA or less current consumption. The PNP open-collector output supports up to 100 mA and offers Light-ON or Dark-ON operation, with short-circuit protection built in. With a response time of 1 ms or less, it ensures fast and precise performance.

The sensor includes orange and green LED indicators for output and stability status, a continuously variable sensitivity adjuster, and automatic interference prevention for adjacent installation. Rated IP67, it is resistant to vibration, shock, and harsh environments. It uses an infrared LED with a peak wavelength of 860 nm, and supports cable extensions up to 100 m.
