The Baumer IGYX08N17B3/L Proximity Sensor (IGYX08N17B3L) delivers fast, accurate, and rugged sensing for metal targets in demanding automation environments. Designed for flush mounting, this cylindrical sensor achieves a nominal sensing distance (Sn) of 2 mm, with an assured distance (Sa) of 1.6 mm, ensuring reliable detection in tight installations.

It maintains high precision with a temperature drift of only ±10% over the 0 to +60 °C range and operates with a hysteresis between 3–20% of Sr. The NPN normally open output supports up to 200 mA of switching current, while a low voltage drop (<2.5 VDC) ensures efficiency in signal transmission.

The sensor runs on 10 to 30 VDC, consumes just 15 mA, and withstands short circuits and reverse polarity, offering robust protection in industrial environments. With a switching frequency of 3 kHz, it responds quickly to fast-moving targets.
