The Autonics E40S6-1000-3-T-24 Rotary Encoder is a high-performance rotary encoder designed for accurate position and speed feedback in industrial automation systems. It features a 6 mm shaft diameter and offers a resolution of 1000 pulses per revolution (P/R), delivering reliable signal output across a range of motion control applications.

The encoder supports output phases A, B, and Z, and uses a Totem pole output circuit, enabling stable and efficient signal transmission. Powered by a 12–24 VDC supply (±5%), the encoder operates with a ripple of no more than 5%. It includes a radial cable connection for easy and secure installation.

Engineers can depend on its 300 kHz maximum response frequency and a maximum rotation speed of 5000 rpm, making it suitable for high-speed applications. The device starts smoothly with a maximum starting torque of 40 gf·cm (0.00392 N·m).

Autonics builds the encoder with an IP50 protection rating, offering basic protection against dust. It withstands ambient operating temperatures from -10°C to 70°C, and storage temperatures down to -25°C, while maintaining optimal performance in 35–85% relative humidity.
