 The Panasonic PM-R25-P U-Shaped photoelectric sensor is an ultra-small, U-shaped micro photoelectric sensor with a built-in amplifier, designed for precision detection in compact applications. It has a fixed sensing range of 6 mm (0.236 in). It can detect opaque objects as small as 0.8 × 1.2 mm (0.031 × 0.047 in). This ensures high accuracy and reliability. The sensor’s hysteresis is impressively minimal, staying below 0.05 mm (0.002 in), which guarantees consistent and reliable performance in high-precision tasks. The repeatability is within 0.01 mm (0.0004 in). These features make it ideal for tasks requiring precise measurements.

Powered by a wide supply voltage range of 5 to 24 V DC with a current consumption of 15 mA or less, the Panasonic PM-R25-P U-Shaped Photoelectric Sensor provides efficient operation. Its PNP open-collector transistor output supports maximum source currents up to 50 mA and includes light-ON and dark-ON operation modes for versatility. Additionally, it incorporates protective circuits, such as short-circuit protection, ensuring safe and stable use.

With a rapid response time of 20 µs or less under light-received conditions, the sensor achieves a maximum response frequency of 3 kHz, ideal for high-speed detection tasks. It is equipped with an orange LED operation indicator, making status monitoring straightforward.
