The Panasonic GX-H8A Inductive Proximity Sensor (UGXH8A, GXH8A) offers a maximum operation distance of 2.5 mm and a stable sensing range of 0 to 2.1 mm. It reliably detects standard sensing objects like 15 × 15 × t 1 mm iron sheets with hysteresis of 20% or less. The sensor operates efficiently with a supply voltage of 12 to 24 V DC and a current consumption of 15 mA or less.
Operating within a supply voltage range of 12 to 24 V DC ± 10%, the GX-H8A sensor consumes a current of 15 mA or less, optimizing energy efficiency. Equipped with an NPN open-collector transistor output, it can sink a maximum current of 100 mA and operates with an applied voltage of 30 V DC or less. Its output operation is normally open, falling under the utilization categories DC-12 or DC-13, while the maximum response frequency of 500 Hz ensures swift response to sensing events. An orange LED indicator provides visual feedback by lighting up when the output is ON, facilitating easy monitoring of sensor status.
