The Panasonic GX-H12B-P Inductive Proximity Sensor (UGXH12BP, GXH12BP) has a maximum operation distance of 4.0 mm (0.158 in) and a stable sensing range of 0 to 3.3 mm (0 to 0.130 in). It is designed to detect iron sheets of 20 × 20 × t 1 mm (0.787 × 0.787 × t 0.039 in) with hysteresis of 20% or less of the operation distance. The sensor is highly repeatable, with a tolerance of 0.04 mm (0.002 in) along and perpendicular to the sensing axis. It operates on a supply voltage of 12 to 24 V DC with a current consumption of 15 mA or less. The output is a PNP open-collector transistor with a maximum sink current of 100 mA and an applied voltage of 30 V DC or less.

The Panasonic GX-H12B-P Inductive Proximity Sensor features a normally open output operation. It supports utilization categories DC-12 or DC-13. The maximum response frequency is 500 Hz. It includes an orange LED indicator that lights up when the output is ON.

The GX-H12B-P operates in ambient temperatures ranging from -25 to +70 ℃ (-13 to +158 ℉). It can be stored at temperatures from -40 to +85 ℃ (-40 to +185 ℉). The sensor boasts IP68 (IEC) and IP68g (JEM) protection ratings. This ensures it can withstand harsh environments, including rigorous water immersion and heat shock tests.

With a voltage withstandability of 1,000 V AC for one minute and insulation resistance of 50 MΩ or more, the GX-H12B-P demonstrates durability. It can endure vibrations of 10 to 500 Hz frequency with a 3 mm (0.118 in) double amplitude (up to 20 G) and shocks of 10,000 m/s² acceleration (approx. 1,000 G). The sensor’s sensing range variation remains within plus or minus 8% over the temperature range of -25 to +70 ℃. It also maintains within plus or minus 2% for supply voltage fluctuations.

1. Immerse at 0 m below 0 ℃ +32 ℉ water surface and leave for 30 min. Then, immerse at 0 m below +70 ℃ +158 ℉ water surface and leave for 30 min.
