The Panasonic GX-F15A Proximity Sensors, Part Number is UGXF15A has a maximum operation distance of 5 mm ± 8%.It features a stable sensing range of 0 to 4.2 mm. It reliably detects standard sensing objects like iron sheets measuring 20 × 20 × 1 mm. The sensor ensures hysteresis of 20% or less of the operation distance. Furthermore, it guarantees repeatability of 0.04 mm or less along and perpendicular to the sensing axis.

Operating on a supply voltage of 12 to 24 V DC ± 10/-15%, the GX-F15A consumes 15 mA or less. It utilizes an NPN open-collector transistor output. The output supports a maximum sink current of 100 mA and an applied voltage of 30 V DC or less. The residual voltage is 2 V or less at a 100 mA sink current. The sensor has a normally open output operation. It offers a 250 Hz max response frequency, with an orange LED indicating the output status.

The Panasonic GX-F15A Proximity Sensors is robust, with an IP68 protection rating, and can operate in ambient temperatures from -25 to +70 ℃, with storage temperatures ranging from -40 to +85 ℃. It withstands vibrations at 10 to 500 Hz frequency with 3 mm double amplitude in X, Y, and Z directions for two hours each. The sensor also endures shocks of 10,000 m/s² acceleration in three directions three times each. It has a voltage withstandability of 1,000 V AC for one minute and an insulation resistance of 50 MΩ or more. The sensor includes a 1 m long, 0.15 mm² 3-core oil, heat, and cold-resistant cabtyre cable, which can be extended up to 100 m. Weighing approximately 20 g, it complies with EMC and RoHS directives. The sensor is manufactured in Japan.
