The Leuze GS 63B/6D-S8 (GS63B/6D-S8, GS63B6DS8) is a fork photoelectric sensor designed for detecting non-transparent labels, part number 50110111, belongs to the Series 63.

It operates on the principle of optical physics, utilizing LED infrared light with a wavelength of 940 nm. The GS 63B/6D-S8 sensor actively detects labels with a 2 mm minimum width and gap, suitable for non-transparent mediums.

The sensor operates using a supply voltage ranging from 10 to 30 volts DC and maintains a low residual ripple of 0 to 15%. It incorporates a digital switching output capable of handling a maximum switching current of 100 mA. The switching element is a transistor in a push-pull configuration, enabling precise control over the switching signal on the label.

The sensor’s compact design combines metal and plastic for durability and reliability. Mounting is easy with options for through-hole or optional mounting devices.. Operational controls offer user-friendly adjustment via a multiturn potentiometer.
