Hitachi SP14Q002 LCD Module
The Hitachi SP14Q002 LCD Module is 5.7-inch FSTN-LCD module serves as a practical display solution for low-power, monochrome applications. It delivers a 320×240 (QVGA) resolution at 70 PPI, providing adequate clarity across a 320 × 240 mm active area. The module’s 167 × 109 × 10 mm outline supports integration into compact industrial or embedded systems.
Operating in STN mode with a negative (black-on-white) transmissive configuration, the panel produces high-contrast monochrome visuals. Although the 80 cd/m² brightness and 20:1 contrast ratio are modest, they suit applications with static content or controlled lighting environments. A 40° viewing angle (CR≥2) ensures readability within a limited field of view.
The display uses FSTN (Film compensated Super Twisted Nematic) technology, which enhances contrast over traditional STN. Its response time of 120 ms (rise) and 150 ms (fall) indicates suitability for slowly changing or static content.
The module connects through a 14-pin, 4-bit parallel data interface and operates on a 5.0V power supply. It features a single CCFL backlight with a 20,000-hour lifespan, though it requires an external driver. Designed to handle environmental demands, it functions between -20°C and 60°C, with safe storage between 0°C and 50°C.
