The Datalogic SG4-30-030-OO-X Safety Light Curtain is a Type 4 safety light curtain, engineered for hand protection in hazardous machine areas. It operates on the emitter-receiver principle, using infrared LEDs (850 nm) to create an invisible safety barrier across a 300 mm controlled height, with a 30 mm resolution suitable for finger and hand detection. The system is capable of covering a nominal sensing distance of 0.2 to 19 meters, offering versatile deployment across industrial setups.
The unit delivers two PNP-NO OSSD safety outputs, each handling up to 500 mA, with a response time of just 12.7 ms, ensuring fast reaction to intrusions. Built for Performance Level e (PL e) and SIL 3 safety ratings, the curtain achieves a MTTFd of 444 years, PFHd of 2.64E-09, and an impressive Dcavg of 98.8%, guaranteeing high functional safety and reliability.
The SG4-30-030 features IP65 protection, vibration/shock resistance per EN standards, and supports cable lengths up to 50 m. Its robust aluminum and polycarbonate housing ensures durability in harsh industrial conditions.
