The Baumer IGYX18P17B3/S14L  Inductive Proximity Sensor (Article no.: 11078862) is a high-performance quasi-flush inductive sensor designed for industrial automation. It offers a nominal sensing distance (Sn) of 8 mm and an assured sensing distance (Sa) of 6.4 mm, ensuring precise and reliable object detection. The sensor compensates for temperature drift within ±10% of Sr (0 to +60°C) and features a hysteresis range of 3 to 20% of Sr for stable operation.

Equipped with an PNP output circuit and a normally open (NO) make function, the sensor supports a switching frequency of up to 400 Hz, making it ideal for moderate-speed applications. A red LED output indicator provides clear visual feedback. It operates on a 10–30 VDC power supply and includes short-circuit and reverse polarity protection for enhanced safety and durability.

Constructed with a robust cylindrical threaded design, the sensor features a housing made of nickel-plated brass for durability and a sensing face crafted from red PBT material. With a compact 18 mm diameter and a 60 mm housing length, it is easy to install using its M12 connector. The sensor withstands harsh environments, thanks to its IP67 protection rating and an operating temperature range of -25 to +75°C.
